Clinical Commissioning Groups
Delivering sustainable local services that matter
Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) will take statutory responsibility for commissioning local NHS services and commissioning the great majority of NHS services for patients, including:
- In community pharmacy, the Minor Ailments Service (MAS) and
- Local optometry services
CCGs will also take responsibility for managing commissioning budgets and using these resources to improve healthcare and health outcomes in these two important care delivery settings.
In an era of continuing financial austerity, it will be crucial to ensure that any investment in service commissioning is planned and executed in a managed way. Pressure from an ageing population demands that NHS commissioning budgets are spent only on services that deliver the best outcomes in the most cost-effective way possible.
Webstar Lane’s Consulting Services can help you achieve the results that matter to your CCG, the NHS and patients.
Our Service Pact service administration software can also help you enhance service efficiency, enabling you and your service providers to focus on service delivery rather than administration.
